    Devilian Book Club

Preface: Reading books via Audible(tm) while playing games I enjoy, such as this one, is one of my favorite pastimes. I am not paid by Audible(tm), but listening to books can be a great way to supplement anyone's gameplay so I thought I could share.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Favorite quote: "He knows that there's no better way in the world to aggravate somebody who's trying to make it hard for you than by acting like you're not bothered."

This is an excellent idea, I'd love to see more book club action. I love listening to audiobooks while I work.

    Awesome book and film!

I just re-read the Saga of Pliocene Exile by Julien May. Awesome read about a time tunnel back to the Pliocine era. Well recommended if you like clever sci-fi

I had a long list of recommendations I've been churning through, but I'm glad to say your's up on my list of reads. Thankyou for the tip.

I would like to offer up a classic that, to me, we can all still to this day learn a great deal from.

I'd like to offer a unique piece to this thread that, although you can buy the book, the movie itself is just fantastic. They surely do not make them like this anymore.

Basically this film captures the struggle between opposing factions of people. Made in a time were many still believed in the merits of individual freedoms and sovereignty from hateful oppressive regimes. Some can extrapolate that the oppression itself played a role in the creation of great works of art like this that made the silver screen during that era; and it's possible that creative energy may not come back to us until we are up against another great oppressive period.

Some say history repeats itself; I don't particularly believe that. But it sure does rhyme. As time goes by, creativity is known to serve itself when stifled.
